Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for International Economic Cooperation, met with US officials. The meeting discussed the current crisis in global energy markets and joint projects that could revive relations between the two countries.
According to Redaksiya, Dmitriev, who is also the Chairman of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, announced his visit to the US via Telegram.
Dmitriev noted that meetings were held with the heads of working groups on economic cooperation between Russia and the US. He stated, "Perspective projects that can contribute to the revival of Russian-US relations and the current crisis situation in world energy markets were discussed."
Dmitriev added that the US and many countries are beginning to understand the damages of the sanctions imposed on Russia and the significant role of Russian oil and natural gas in ensuring the stability of the world economy.
