Changan, one of China's leading automakers, is preparing to launch the Changan Nevo A06, the world's first mass-produced electric vehicle with a sodium-ion battery, marking a revolutionary innovation in the field of electric transportation. This vehicle will be equipped with the Naxtra battery supplied by CATL.
Editorial information indicates that one of the most notable features of this battery is its ability to retain over 90% of its capacity even at -40°C temperatures and its ability to charge normally at -30°C. Sodium, being cheaper and more accessible than lithium, is welcomed by experts with expectations of reduced supply issues and more affordable electric vehicles.
