A solemn anniversary event will not be held in connection with the 33rd anniversary of the New Azerbaijan Party.

This was stated by Azər Badamov, member of the Board of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and MP, in a statement to Modern.az.

"The completion of the 33rd year since the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party is not an anniversary date. From this perspective, a solemn anniversary event is not planned. However, YAP's local organizations hold events on the eve of the party's founding day, and extensive discussions are organized with like-minded individuals, reflecting on its successful path," he said.

It should be noted that on October 16, 1992, a group of 91 people appealed to Heydar Aliyev, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan, declaring that they saw him as a leader in the political struggle and signed an appeal calling for a struggle for power in Azerbaijan. And on October 24, 1992, Heydar Aliyev, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan, responded positively to this appeal and accepted the proposal of the "91s".
On November 21, 1992, the founding conference of the New Azerbaijan Party was held, and Heydar Aliyev was elected party chairman at the conference attended by 550 people.
On December 18, 1992, the New Azerbaijan Party was state-registered by the Ministry of Justice.
