Michael Saylor has made an ambiguous post suggesting that "Strategy" is preparing for its 101st Bitcoin purchase. The company currently holds 720,737 BTC, valued at over $48.7 billion. Bitcoin was trading around $67,500, below "Strategy's" average purchase price.
Redaksiya reports that, as is often the case with Saylor's posts, he shared a chart of "Strategy's" Bitcoin accumulation, tracking its purchases since the company began acquiring the asset in August 2020. He wrote on X, "The Second Century Begins." "Strategy" currently holds 720,737 Bitcoin, valued at over $48.7 billion.
The company's last purchase was made between February 23rd and March 1st, during which it acquired 3,015 BTC at an average price of $67,700 each. This batch also marked the company's 100th Bitcoin purchase. Meanwhile, the price of Bitcoin has struggled to remain stable above $70,000, repeatedly losing this key psychological support area, which has now turned into a resistance level.
Tensions between the United States and Iran have been among the latest triggers affecting risk sentiment in crypto markets. According to Bitcoin Treasuries, as of the latest data, the price of Bitcoin was fluctuating around approximately $67,500, placing it below "Strategy's" average purchase price of around $75,992. "Strategy's" primary NAV, an indicator measuring the value of its Bitcoin holdings relative to its market capitalization, was slightly below 1, indicating that the stock is currently trading at a discount to the value of its underlying BTC treasure. "Strategy" shares closed down approximately 4.5% on March 6th, reflecting caution among some investors against the backdrop of the company continuing its Bitcoin accumulation strategy through debt and equity financing.
