Following the attack in Qatar's capital, Doha, diplomatic contacts in the region have intensified. A phone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. During the call, Israel's attack was discussed, and joint steps to be taken for Qatar's security and the restoration of peace in the region were evaluated.

The editorial office reports that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince also issued a statement, declaring that they “strongly condemn Israel's attack” and emphasizing their solidarity with Qatar.

European Union officials, meanwhile, assessed Israel's attacks as “a clear violation of Qatar's territorial integrity” and announced their solidarity with the people of Qatar.

Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in a message addressed to US President Donald Trump, stated that “Qatar will continue to stand by its friends and support just causes.” He further emphasized that his country would take all necessary steps to protect its sovereignty and security.

The White House, in its statement regarding the attack, said that Israel's airstrikes against Qatar served neither Israel's interests nor those of the current US President Donald Trump's administration. The White House also emphasized that Trump had assured Qatari officials that a similar attack would not be repeated.

Qatar, however, denied claims that the US had provided any information before the attack. International reactions regarding the situation in the region continue.
