The Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia congratulated the head of state on advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia and on the historic normalization document.
Expressing satisfaction with the existing relations between the parliaments of the two countries, Richard Raši recalled his visit to Azerbaijan and Karabakh, and highly appreciated the participation of Slovak companies in the reconstruction of the liberated village of Aghdam's Bash Garvand as an example of friendship between our countries.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the congratulations.
President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the signing of a strategic partnership document between Azerbaijan and Slovakia last year and the development of our relations on this basis.
During the meeting, the importance of parliamentary diplomacy between Azerbaijan and Slovakia was touched upon, and issues of cooperation between the parliamentary institutions of our countries within the framework of international parliamentary institutions were reviewed.
During the conversation, it was noted that there are great opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, defense industry, humanitarian affairs, sports, direct flights, tourism, and other areas.
