Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mansur Yavaş addressed a strong response to Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz via social media platform X. In his statement, he condemned Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip, calling these acts genocide.
The editorial office reports that Mansur Yavaş emphasized in his post that individuals speaking in the shadow of genocide have no right to make speeches. He added that as a representative of an administration that kills children, women, and civilians in the Gaza Strip, Israel Katz is the last person who should be speaking.
The Mayor also called on Israel Katz to refrain from threatening actions against Turkey and the Turkish nation. He noted that accountability must first be given for the war crimes committed, as both history and conscience will remember him as a perpetrator of genocide.
