The Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes targeting the outskirts of Damascus, the capital of Syria. According to local sources, an airborne operation was also carried out in the region at the same time, and helicopters were observed flying at low altitudes.
The editorial office reports that Israeli government circles have also called Turkey's possible intervention in Syria "an element of concern for them." This statement is regarded as a new signal of tension in Israel's view of events in the region.
It is not yet clear how the ongoing military operations around Damascus will affect the regional balance.
