Israeli media has sharply criticized US President Donald Trump's policy regarding the Gaza peace plan. Articles titled "Trump Sold Out Israel for the Nobel Peace Prize" state that his focus on an agreement with Hamas has caused concern in Tel Aviv.
The editorial board reports that, according to statements from high-ranking Israeli officials, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was surprised by Trump's reaction. He considers Hamas's response a rejection of the plan and wants the response to this issue to be prepared in coordination with the US.
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office, however, announced that following Hamas's response, Israel is preparing to implement the first phase of Trump's agreement, which envisages the release of prisoners.
