The editorial office reports that Hamas senior representative Musa Abu Marzouk called the figures announced by Israel and the US baseless. He stated that Israel claims to have destroyed 90 percent of Hamas's capabilities, but the question 'which weapons are they referring to?' remains open. He also said that US President Donald Trump's statement about 25,000 Hamas members being killed has no real basis.
Marzouk also emphasized that shaping the future of the people is a nationwide issue, and Hamas cannot decide it alone. According to him, while the handover of hostages and bodies within 72 hours might be theoretically possible, it does not seem realistic under current conditions.
The Hamas official added that weapons will be provided for a future Palestinian state, and whoever governs Gaza will also have weapons in their hands. He conveyed this position to the international community by announcing it through mediators.
