Academician Zarifa Aliyeva was one of our scientists distinguished by her exceptional services in the development of Azerbaijani healthcare science. Her valuable scientific contributions to the field of ophthalmology played a special role in the development of this field not only in our country but throughout the entire USSR. Scientist Zarifa Aliyeva, known for her unique style and innovativeness, paved the way for Azerbaijani ophthalmology to achieve worldwide recognition through her distinguished scientific work and unparalleled contributions. Her multifaceted scientific research continues to contribute today to the training of highly qualified young scientific personnel and the specialization of ophthalmologist-doctors. As can be seen, Zarifa Aliyeva is an eternal beacon guiding her students who will serve the development of science. As one traces the rich life path of Zarifa Aliyeva – a highly intelligent individual, a valuable intellectual, a great public figure, a master physician, a renowned scientist, an academician – one truly envisions a bearer of high moral qualities, the embodiment of a supreme human being. However, to limit her life's purpose to this would, of course, not be enough.
In the person of Zarifa Khanim, we see the grand image of a perfect Azerbaijani woman, witnessing an example of grace combined with strength, selflessness with loyalty, and the character of a powerful mother-woman. She embraced the life path bestowed upon her by the Almighty God with an exemplary life. She became a loyal wife to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, whom the Creator bestowed upon our people as a chosen one, and always became his strong support, confidante, and comrade-in-arms on his difficult path. To this day, the most beautiful thoughts have been expressed and the fondest memories shared about Zarifa Khanim's high human qualities.
