Argentina has called for new negotiations with Great Britain over the Falkland Islands. The country regards Britain's control over the islands as "colonialism."
The editorial office reports that Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno emphasized the importance of negotiations to achieve a "peaceful resolution" on this issue. According to him, the current situation contradicts international law.
This diplomatic move comes after reports that the Pentagon might reconsider its support for Britain's claim over the Falkland Islands. Those reports had sparked widespread discussions within the international community.
