The tech world's attention traditionally focuses on Apple's September events. Traditionally, standard and 'Pro' iPhone models were presented at these events. However, recent information leaked from the company's supply chain points to significant changes in its product launch strategy for 2026 and 2027.

Citing editorial sources, reliable leak sources Sonny Dickson and Mark Gurman's analyses confirm that Apple is making a historic change to its product launch strategy. Within this change, it has been decided to divide the launch of the highly anticipated foldable 'iPhone Fold' model into two distinct periods.

According to the new calendar, Apple will focus solely on its high-end premium devices at this year's September event. The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the company's first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Fold, will be unveiled at this event. The standard models will be delayed slightly.

The launch of the more affordable iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and the slim-design iPhone Air 2 models has been reserved for a special event scheduled for March 2027. Among the main reasons for this delay are global shortages in AI-related RAM supply and Apple's decision to focus its production capacity on the more complex foldable model.

The company has accepted a delay of several months for the standard models to ensure a flawless market launch of the iPhone Fold. According to analysts, this staggered strategy will not only simplify the supply chain but also allow Apple to achieve two major sales boosts within a single fiscal year.
