Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin only if precise security guarantees for his country are established.
The editorial office reports that Zelensky stated he envisions Turkey, Switzerland, or Austria as potential venues for the talks.
The Ukrainian leader noted that any meeting held without guarantees would be fruitless and would not serve his country's security interests. According to him, these guarantees should strengthen Ukraine's future independence and prevent new threats.
Thus, Zelensky's statement indicates that the Kyiv leadership evaluates potential Putin-Zelensky talks as dependent on obtaining real legal guarantees.
