Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has openly stated that he does not intend to hold power for a long time. He said that he does not intend to serve as president for 30 years or more.
Redaksiya reports that Zelenskyy said these words during a conversation with a BBC journalist: “I am not Putin, and I will not be president for 30 years, or whatever — 35 years. I will not be.”
In response to the journalist's question, “Really?” the head of state said: “No, no, believe me. This means that I must perform this duty conscientiously and protect my respect, my self-respect. This is very important to me. It is important for my family, for my children. For me, this is extremely important. It is also important for me to do everything I can, as correctly and as best as possible.”
