A fire broke out near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
A fire broke out in the industrial zone of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) as a result of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. One civilian was killed in the incident.
The editorial office reports that, according to the plant's management, there was no threat to the plant's power units during the incident, and they continue to operate in normal mode.
Regarding the incident, experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) present at the plant reported hearing explosions and seeing smoke near the plant's perimeter. According to them, the attacks targeted facilities located approximately 1–1.2 kilometers from the plant's perimeter, and these areas were targets for unmanned aerial vehicles.
It should be noted that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is Europe's largest nuclear power plant, and military incidents occurring around it cause serious concern in the international community.
