The Venezuelan government has decided to close the Norwegian embassy, citing the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to opposition leader María Corina Machado as the reason.
The editorial office reports that official Caracas has described this move as Norway's "interference in Venezuela's internal affairs".
The decision is reported to take effect this week, and Norwegian diplomats have been given 72 hours to leave the country.
