Recent events in Ukraine's political arena have brought discussions about election preparations back to the forefront. This issue has led to various opinions being voiced in political circles, as well as the public's attention being directed towards this matter. Questions about whether elections will be held, and if so, under what conditions, are considered key factors influencing the course of political processes.

Redaksiya, citing EADaily, reports that Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk stated that President Volodymyr Zelensky is not preparing for elections, but rather using the process as a "smokescreen." He expressed these views in response to an order by Rada Vice-Speaker Oleksandr Korniyenko to create a working group for election preparations. Dmytruk assessed the creation of commissions in parliament and the involvement of representatives from parties and factions in this process as an attempt to create an image of "full democracy."

According to the deputy, such steps are aimed at distracting public attention from key issues and preventing the emergence of uncomfortable questions. Dmytruk urged those who have begun to spend money and resources on an election campaign that their efforts would be in vain. He firmly stated that elections would not be held in Ukraine and described Zelensky's current activities not as preparation for elections, but as a "smokescreen."

According to EADaily, the Verkhovna Rada is beginning the process of preparing for elections, not the president. This was reported by deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel. This information indicates the complexity of the political situation in Ukraine and the continued uncertainty regarding the holding of elections.
