On October 7, in Gabala, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and other heads of state and government participating in the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) laid the foundation for the mosque to be built by Turkmenistan in Fuzuli in an online format.
The total area of the mosque complex to be built by Turkmenistan in Fuzuli will be more than 1 hectare. The mosque building will feature 2 minarets, each 40 meters high. The main dome will have a height of 30 meters. It will be able to accommodate 500 worshippers simultaneously.
It should be noted that member and observer countries of the OTS are also contributing to the restoration efforts undertaken by the Azerbaijani state in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. This is clearly demonstrated by the construction of a mosque by Turkmenistan in Fuzuli, as well as the construction and commissioning of the Mirza Ulugbek school by Uzbekistan, the Kurmangazy Children's Creativity Center by Kazakhstan in this district, the Manas school by Kyrgyzstan in Aghdam, the construction of a school building by Hungary in Jabrayil, and the participation of Turkish companies in the construction of numerous tunnels, bridges, and roads.
