Turkey's Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, has announced his position on developments in Syria, stating that they view positively the anti-terror operation conducted by the Syrian government in the city of Aleppo.
According to the ministry, the minister said that the Syrian government has launched an operation against terror in Aleppo with the aim of ensuring public order and citizen security, based on the principle of equality for all ethnic groups.
Yaşar Güler noted that this operation, targeting all terror groups, is understood and supported by Turkey. He added that Syria's security is considered Turkey's security.
The minister further stated that Turkey will continue to support Syria in its fight against terrorist organizations, respecting Syria's territorial integrity and unity based on the principle of "one state, one army.".
