Cooperation between Turkey and the United Kingdom in the field of air forces is expanding.

The editorial office reports that Minister of National Defense Yaşar Gülər and UK Secretary of State for Defence Con Hili signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the procurement of “Eurofighter Typhoon” combat aircraft within the framework of the IDEF 2025 exhibition. Speaking at the official ceremony, Gülər emphasized the strong historical ties between the two countries and stated that this document would both deepen cooperation in the defense industry and contribute to NATO's air power.

The document is regarded as a significant step taken by Turkey towards joining the “Eurofighter” consortium. This serves to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Ankara and London.

According to information released by the Turkish Ministry of Defense, this memorandum grants official status to relations between the two countries and brings them one step closer to a full agreement on “Typhoon” aircraft.
