US President Donald Trump spoke at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the Gaza plan and prospects for peace in the Middle East.

The editorial office reports that Trump called today “one of the greatest days possible, perhaps the greatest day for civilization”: “Let's call this eternal peace in the Middle East. Many European leaders have called me asking: is this true, are you really making peace in the Middle East? This is incredible.”

In his speech, Trump thanked Netanyahu for agreeing to the Gaza plan: “If we work together, we can put an end to years, decades, even millennia of death and destruction. A new chapter of security, peace, and prosperity can begin for the region.”

The US President also stated that if the proposal is accepted, Hamas must immediately release all hostages: “I hear that Hamas also wants to complete this. Now they are the only party that must agree to the peace agreement. If they refuse, Netanyahu will have my full support.”

Trump added that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be included in the “Gaza Peace Council” and several more names will be announced in the coming days: “They named me there, and now everyone wants to join.”

He recalled the October 7 tragedy and emphasized the importance of releasing the hostages: “Thousands of people lost their lives. Now is the time to get the hostages back. Netanyahu is a fighter, he doesn't know how to return to normal life. Israel is lucky to have a leader like him.”

Trump called the recognition of a Palestinian state by some European countries “foolishness” and said that a ceasefire should be implemented in Gaza in the coming days: “Perhaps it will be eternal. Wouldn't that be wonderful?”

The US President also recalled the “Abraham Accords” signed during his term and used the words “no president has been as much a friend of Israel as I have.” He stated that he once thought Iran would also join these agreements: “But now, this has taken a different direction with the B2s.”

Trump also recalled his speech at the UN, stating that despite the teleprompter not working, he delivered a long speech, and it was highly appreciated: “Could Biden do that? I don't think so.”

Finally, Trump emphasized: “History shows that those who have relations with Israel have prospered, while those who wanted to destroy it have failed.”
