U.S. President Donald Trump expressed concerns about the security and geopolitical importance of Greenland in a statement regarding the island. He stated that if the U.S. does not take an active stance on this issue, Russia and China could expand their influence in the region.

The editorial reports that U.S. President Donald Trump said he does not fully trust Denmark's ability to defend Greenland alone. According to him, Copenhagen's additional patrol measures, including the deployment of additional dog sled teams, cannot be considered sufficient in the face of real security challenges.

During the statement, journalists raised the possibility of the U.S. acquiring Greenland by force. U.S. President Donald Trump, however, emphasized that he did not directly voice this idea, did not take a concrete stance on future steps, and said that his decisions have not yet been announced.

During the press conference, it was recalled that Denmark fought alongside the U.S. in Afghanistan. U.S. President Donald Trump noted that he took this information into account and stated that Denmark had fulfilled its alliance obligations in the past.
