US President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The newsroom reports that Trump emphasized that the population of Gaza is not receiving enough food, and stated that Arab countries could assist the US in this regard: “Arab states can help us with food distribution in Gaza”.
He also refused to comment on the issue of a full occupation of Gaza, saying that it pertains to Israel's decision: “I cannot say anything about this, this is Israel's decision”.
Trump's words indicate that, alongside Washington's desire to increase humanitarian aid in Gaza, it leaves the responsibility for military decisions to the Israeli government.
