US President Donald Trump, during his speech in the Israeli parliament – the Knesset, addressed Israeli President Isaac Herzog and suggested issuing a pardon for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding his corruption case.
The newsroom reports that Trump said, “Mr. Herzog, why don’t you pardon Netanyahu? Forgive him.” These words from the US President were met with brief surprise in the hall.
Continuing his speech, Trump emphasized that Netanyahu showed “historic leadership” in the Gaza peace agreement and stated that he “did great things for Israel.”
