US President Donald Trump believed the situation was getting out of control after Israel's strike on Qatar's capital, Doha. This was reported by Trump's son-in-law and advisor, Jared Kushner.
The editorial office reports that in an interview with CBS, Kushner stated that Trump “felt Israel was getting a bit out of control” and “thought it was time to intervene strongly and prevent them from taking steps that were not in their long-term interests.”
Steve Witkoff, who appeared alongside Kushner, said that Israel's actions created a “metastatic effect.” According to him, Qatar “plays a critical role in negotiations with the Hamas movement,” and this attack has further complicated diplomatic efforts in the region.
