US President Donald Trump has once again made headlines with his statements regarding Jewish donors.
Citing Times of Israel, it is reported that Trump, addressing one of his high-level Jewish donors in his close circle, stated: “My electorate is starting to hate Israel.” This statement reflects growing skepticism towards US-Israel relations among Trump's young and radical right-wing supporters.
Recently, indirect criticisms against Israel's policies have also begun to be observed in some of Trump's speeches. Particularly, the dissatisfaction voiced regarding the Gaza conflict and the condemnations forming in the international community have led Trump to approach this issue cautiously in his election strategy.
Political observers evaluate this statement as the formation of a new line in Trump's campaign tactics. Changes in attitude towards Israel have already begun to appear among young voters and the conservative segment in the US, and Trump is trying to keep these trends under control.
