Tension in Southeast Asia has escalated into a military clash – Thailand and Cambodia have mutually declared war on each other.
The editorial office reports that Cambodian Armed Forces attacked Thailand's Sisaket province with BM-21 “Grad” type rockets. At least 8 people are reported to have lost their lives as a result of the attack. One of the rockets fell on a gas station located in the Ban Phue area.
Thai police confirmed that 5 civilian objects were targeted in the Kantharalak area. Infrastructure has been destroyed in the affected areas, and there are reports of injuries among the civilian population.
Currently, the situation along the border of both countries is extremely tense, and the parties have been put on military alert. The international community is following developments in the region with concern.
