Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi made important statements regarding the ongoing war in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

The editorial office reports that Sisi clarified the issue of opening the Rafah border crossing, stating:
“Israel's consent is required to open the Rafah crossing.”

He also emphasized their readiness to work jointly with regional and international partners to stop the war in Gaza, stating:
“We are open to cooperation with Qatar and the US to stop the war in Gaza.”

Sisi added that Egypt has always sought a ceasefire and reiterated their support for a two-state solution to the conflict:
“We have always wanted the war to stop. We support the two-state solution.”

It should be noted that Egypt acts as one of the key countries in the region for delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza and in mediation initiatives.
