Russia: "Western Pressure on Iran's Internal Affairs is Unacceptable"

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has strongly condemned attempts at foreign interference in Iran's internal affairs. According to him, such steps are contrary to international law and increase tension in the region.

The editorial reports that Sergey Shoigu said Western countries, particularly the US, are trying to pressure Iran by using protests as a pretext. He emphasized that this approach constitutes direct interference in Iran's internal processes.

Shoigu noted in his statement that what is happening is a direct attack on Iran's sovereignty. The Russian official stressed that such influences are unacceptable and highlighted the importance of respecting the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of states.
