The situation in southern Ukraine remains tense, with Russian forces increasing their attacks and primarily targeting civilian infrastructure. This information has been published in the Ukrainian media, indicating the severity of the situation in the region.
Redaksiya reports that Russian forces are carrying out information attacks in Dnipro and other cities, allegedly spreading information about the mass production of new weapons. However, these claims are unfounded, because if there were mass production, there would be 20 units, not two. This is intended to cause public anxiety. Vladyslav Voloshyn, a representative of the Southern Defense Forces, stated that the main goal of these operations is to destroy fortifications on the front line and demolish buildings in settlements so that they cannot be used for defense.
According to Voloshyn, attacks with FPV drones, KABs, and "Shaheds" were recorded in the region over the past day. Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv region, stated on "Den.LIVE" that the attacks were directed at industrial and critical facilities in the city of Mykolaiv, as well as border communities. He noted that the enemy is already preparing for winter by shelling energy facilities, which is why the Mykolaiv region is preparing for a difficult season. Kim added that "in fact, this is a signal – winter has not yet begun, but critical infrastructure facilities are being shelled. We were expecting a difficult winter and an increase in shelling."
Furthermore, Russian forces are trying to create the impression of mass production of new ammunition. However, Kim clarified that despite the increased attacks, there were no casualties – the fires were extinguished, and the damage was insignificant. According to information published in the Ukrainian media, Russian troops have intensified the use of artillery and electronic warfare systems in the southern direction to create conditions for attacks by small infantry groups.
