Redmi Note 16 Series Approaches

Redaksiya · Media ·

Considering Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 15 family last August, the next generation, the Redmi Note 16 series, is expected to be unveiled in or around August. A new leak, months before its presentation, offers clues about the technical specifications the Redmi Note 16 series might offer.

According to Redaksiya, citing reliable leak source Digital Chat Station, a new device currently in the testing phase comes with a massive 10,000 mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging and a 200-megapixel main camera. Although the device's name is not directly mentioned in the leak, comments suggest it could belong to the Redmi Note 16 series. This claim aligns with previous rumors from November that suggested a 200 MP camera could be used in the series.

For comparison, even last year's top model, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, does not offer a 200 MP sensor. This model features a triple setup consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom support, and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The claim regarding the battery is as noteworthy as the camera. If true, a 10,000 mAh capacity could be the largest battery ever used in any Redmi or Xiaomi phone. Currently, this title belongs to the Redmi Turbo 5 Max model, which has a 9,000 mAh battery. However, it remains unclear whether these specifications will apply to only one model in the series or be spread across different versions.
