On January 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in Davos.
The editorial office reports that during the conversation, the previous meetings between the head of state and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus were recalled with satisfaction.
It was emphasized that successful cooperation is being carried out between Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization, and Azerbaijan's support for the organization's projects in various regions of the world was noted. In this regard, Azerbaijan's provision of voluntary financial assistance to a number of countries during the COVID-19 pandemic was specifically highlighted.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization.
