Azerbaijani athletes who achieved the highest results, their coaches, and other specialists who participated in the preparation process of the athletes for the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have been awarded.
The editorial office reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree in this regard.
By the Decree, 1 million 900 thousand manats have been allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of Azerbaijan to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the awarding.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports must prepare and approve, within 10 days, the rules for the distribution of funds intended for awarding athletes, their coaches, and other specialists who participated in the preparation process of the athletes for the Games, as well as the payment of these funds, taking into account the level of competition among athletes, the number of medals for the highest results, and participation in individual or team competitions, and ensure the payment of the allocated funds in accordance with the established rules.
The Ministry of Finance, in turn, must ensure the financing of the specified amount.
