Today, economic growth in Azerbaijan has turned into a long-term stable trend. In 2021-2024, the non-oil sector grew by an average of 6.7 percent annually, and its share in the overall economy increased to 68 percent. Non-oil exports have almost doubled in the last six years. This is a clear indicator of our country's increased competitiveness.

These remarks were included in the address of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku.

The head of state noted that all these achievements have been supported by the establishment of modern production infrastructure in the country: “Currently, we have 9 industrial parks and 4 industrial estates operating. 171 enterprises have been registered here, 98 of which have already started production activities. Over 6.9 billion manats have been invested in industrial zones, creating nearly 11,000 permanent jobs here.”

The President of Azerbaijan brought to attention that as a result of the implementation of advanced ideas, public-private partnership mechanisms, and ongoing reforms, the private sector's share in the economy has been maintained at 81.4 percent. The sustainable development of the economy has improved the welfare of the population and increased the country's financial strength. In 2025, compared to 2017, state budget revenues increased by 2.4 times, strategic foreign exchange reserves by 1.9 times, and the ratio of the state's foreign debt to gross domestic product decreased to 6.5 percent, becoming one of the lowest indicators globally.
