Steps taken by the European Union and some European capitals are increasing tension against Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that they are trying to portray Russia as an "evil force" and for this, they want to increase their expenses by reaching into the pockets of their taxpayers.
The editorial office reports that Peskov said Russia poses no threat to Europe; on the contrary, this confrontation is a problem for European states themselves. According to him, Russia has no intention of harming its own interests and is capable of responding to provocations.
Peskov also touched upon French President Emmanuel Macron's statement regarding the slowdown of oil shipments. He stated that the tanker shipments in question are commercial in nature and have no connection to Russia. The Kremlin spokesman added that, in fact, it is the French government that is creating problems for international energy transportation.
