Based on an internal memo circulating within the company, CEO Sam Altman has declared a "red alert" regime to mobilize additional resources for the improvement of ChatGPT against the backdrop of growing competition. The pressure from Google and other artificial intelligence companies has led OpenAI's management to re-evaluate priorities.

The editorial office reports, citing TheInformation, that as a result of Altman's decision, the company will have to slow down the pace of other projects such as AI agents that automate tasks related to shopping and healthcare, as well as the Pulse service, which provides users with personalized morning summaries. In addition, some sources report that OpenAI is testing advertising formats for free users.

In internal discussions, Altman emphasized the priority of expanding ChatGPT's functionalities to provide a personalized experience for 800 million weekly users. He also noted that updates in the field of image generation are more than six months overdue and that the company is falling behind the competition in this regard.

Another issue that has drawn attention within the company is improving the model's behavior, increasing speed and reliability, as well as minimizing "unnecessary rejections." At the same time, OpenAI's management announced that work on a new logic model is nearing completion and that, based on internal evaluations, it shows superior results to "Gemini 3."

According to information, the Shipmass initiative, carried out last year and lasting twelve days, may be repeated this year. However, the possibility of shortening the duration is not excluded.
