The head of Norway's counter-intelligence service announced that Russian hackers were behind the cyberattack on a dam in the Bremanger region earlier this year. This is considered the first time Oslo has officially attributed the attack to the neighboring country.

The editorial office reports that during the attack on April 7, hackers briefly took control of the dam's management, releasing 500 liters of water per second for four hours of the day. The incident was detected and prevented, and no injuries resulted.

Norwegian officials stated that such cyberattacks pose serious risks to the country's infrastructure security. It was emphasized that Oslo will discuss this issue with international partners and that measures will be strengthened to prevent similar attacks in the future.
