A meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) was held on October 15, 2025, chaired by Mazahir Panahov.
The editorial office reports that, first, the protocol of the Commission's meeting dated June 20, 2025, was approved.
Next, the issue of terminating the deputy powers of Ramil Sahib oglu Hasan, a deputy of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the VII convocation, was considered. It was reported that Ramil Hasan, a deputy of the Milli Majlis, was elected Secretary General of the organization by a decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States. In this regard, his appeal to the CEC and the relevant supporting documents from the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States were examined in accordance with the legislation, and it was determined that there were grounds for terminating his deputy powers. Taking into account the aforementioned, the Commission decided to terminate R. Hasan's deputy powers in accordance with the requirements of the country's Constitution and Election Code.
Later in the meeting, the issue of making changes to the composition of district election commissions for some electoral districts was considered. Following discussions by CEC members, it was decided to make changes to the composition of the district election commissions for electoral districts No. 44 Sumgayit Third, No. 60 Guba – Gusar, No. 62 Kurdamir, No. 65 Salyan – Bilasuvar – Neftchala, No. 76 Lankaran – Masalli, No. 100 Goygol – Dashkasan – Kalbajar, No. 102 Shamkir City, No. 108 Aghstafa, and No. 117 Oghuz – Gabala – Shaki.
During the meeting, which was held with the participation of media representatives, current issues were also considered.
