President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, stated that the struggle for obtaining rights will continue through peaceful, legal, and diplomatic means. He also emphasized the importance of supporting ongoing reforms, including the holding of elections, and noted their desire to build a modern, democratic state.
The editorial office reports that Abbas stated in his declaration that it is impossible to ensure justice without the liberation of Palestine. According to him, the goal is to establish a sovereign state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to live there in peace.
Abbas added that they firmly reject antisemitism and that the importance of Hamas surrendering its weapons has been repeatedly emphasized.
