Lebanese President calls on army to confront Israeli attacks

Lebanese President Michel Aoun, stating that he witnessed one of Israel's attacks against Lebanon, ordered the army to confront any Israeli intervention on the country's territory to protect the country's sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.

Redaksiya reports that, according to Lebanon's official news agency NNA, President Aoun met with Chief of Staff Rudolf Heykel after the Israeli army's attack on the town of Belida in southern Lebanon. During the meeting, the death of one person as a result of Israel's raid on the Belida municipal building with armored vehicles was discussed.

The Israeli army raided the municipal building in the Belida area, part of the Marjayoun district in southern Lebanon, with armored vehicles during the night, resulting in the death of one employee. During the meeting held at Baabda Palace in Beirut, Aoun received information from Heykel regarding the raid in which one person lost their life.
