Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in his address to the UN General Assembly that there is no justification for the massacres carried out against the Palestinian civilian population, the killing of children by bombing and starvation, and the destruction of hospitals and schools. He also called the plans for the annexation of the West Bank of the Jordan River unacceptable.

The editorial office reports that Lavrov used the phrase “today we are actually facing an attempted coup to bury the UN resolution that envisages the creation of a Palestinian state” in his speech. The minister added that while Hebrew is not banned in Arab countries and Arabic is not banned in Israel, the Russian language has been banned in Ukraine.

The Russian minister emphasized that his country has no plans to attack NATO countries, but any aggression would be met with a decisive response. He also noted that Russia never directs its drones and missiles against EU and NATO countries. Lavrov stated that “urgent measures must be taken before there is nothing left to recognize” regarding Palestinian territories.

Lavrov also stated that if Turkey refuses Russian gas, they will approach it with understanding. It should be noted that Trump had also wanted Turkey to refuse Russian energy.

During the minister's speech at the UN, most of the hall remained empty.
