Former US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) official John Kiriakou made statements regarding Israel's long-standing demands for the US to conduct military operations against Iran. Kiriakou stated that during his years of service at the CIA, regardless of who was in power in Israel, they would come to the US and say, "Help us strike Iran."
According to Kiriakou, these demands were rejected by every US president. He noted that only US President Donald Trump was the sole leader to accept these proposals.
The former CIA official added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu deceived US President Donald Trump, dragging the country into a war that was not theirs. Kiriakou emphasized that this situation would have serious consequences for the US.
