Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made statements regarding Iran-US talks on his social media account. He stated that before the start of the talks, they emphasized their good intentions and possessed the necessary will.
Redaksiya reports, citing Ghalibaf, that he stated, “We do not trust the other side due to the previous two wars. The US understood our logic and principles. The other side failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation in this phase of the talks. It is time to decide whether they will earn our trust.”
Ghalibaf additionally noted that they would continue to protect the interests of the Iranian people through both military and diplomatic means. He stated that they view diplomacy as a method alongside military struggle. Iran's Parliament Speaker also thanked Pakistan, which hosted the talks, and the Iranian delegation for their efforts.
