The intervention by Israeli military forces in international waters against the first flotilla of ships en route to Gaza — including Simud, Morgana, Mango and other humanitarian aid vessels — has led to mass protests in many countries around the world.

The newsroom reports that in Ankara, thousands of people gathered in front of the US Embassy, chanting slogans against Israel's actions. A crowded protest was also held in Istanbul, where demonstrators gathered in front of the Israeli Consulate to show support for Gaza.

A similar scene unfolded in Europe. Mass marches were held in the streets of Spain and Barcelona. In Berlin, Rome, and Athens, people demonstrated solidarity with Palestine and raised their voices in protest against Israel's actions.

These protests are regarded as a global reaction by the international community to Israel's harsh stance against ships carrying aid to Gaza.
