TEI Board Chairman Fahrettin Öztürk announced that approval has been received from the US Congress for the use of F404 engines for the HÜRJET project. He stated that this decision is an important stage in the aircraft's development process and will facilitate the timely progress of the project.
The editorial office reports that Öztürk also commented on the information circulating about the KAAN combat aircraft. According to him, there has been no rejection regarding the supply of F110 engines, and the production process continues normally.
Öztürk added that both projects are strategically important for the expansion of national capabilities in Turkey's defense industry. He noted that these platforms are planned to be fully commissioned in the coming years.
