Google has launched a new feature called Personal Intelligence for its Gemini artificial intelligence system. This innovation is designed to provide more personalized responses by integrating Google Photos and YouTube services into Gemini's context.

The editorial team reports that when answering user questions, the system can rely not only on public information but also on photos stored in the photo gallery. For example, when asked about car tires, Gemini analyzes photos of the car to suggest appropriate technical parameters and can even determine from other photos how the user typically drives their car.

The main difference of the new feature is not just access to information, but also the ability to identify meaning and connections between images. The extensive photo archive, collected over many years, creates a rich context for Gemini in this regard and is evaluated as an example of integrating the existing ecosystem with new technology.

It is noted that the Personal Intelligence feature is currently deactivated by default and can only be activated with the user's consent. The service is being rolled out gradually to US subscribers, and it is expected that the ability to book services such as local car repair shops via voice queries will be added in the future.
