The participation of the President of Azerbaijan in the Middle East peace summit in Sharm El Sheikh, at the invitation of US President Donald Trump and Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is an embodiment of our country's global foreign policy.

Today, Azerbaijan has become a state participating in the resolution of global issues. President Ilham Aliyev participated in a total of 4 summits during October. Each of these events was held in different geographies, and global geopolitical processes were at the center of attention at these events. Thus, Azerbaijan participated in the summit of the European Political Community, the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, the summit of CIS heads of state, and subsequently the Gaza summit. Considering that each of these gatherings was dedicated to discussing various global topics in sensitive geographies, this means that Azerbaijan's position is also accepted in geopolitical processes. In particular, ending the long-standing war in the Middle East and putting an end to the humanitarian crisis is an issue that Azerbaijan approaches with sensitivity. The humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip has claimed the lives of approximately 70,000 people.

Azerbaijan, which has eradicated separatism and occupation in the South Caucasus, is also interested in ensuring stability and security in other conflict regions. President Ilham Aliyev's high-level reception on all platforms, especially the meeting with US President Donald Trump in Egypt, and the US head of state bringing the topic of peace between Baku and Yerevan back to the agenda, were indicators of trust in Azerbaijan. After the Gaza summit, it can be predicted that Azerbaijan's influence on the normalization of relations in the Middle East will increase.
