By decree of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the positions of 119 generals in the Land Forces Command, 31 generals in the Air Force Command, and 35 admirals in the Naval Forces Command have been changed.
The editorial office reports that the relevant decree has been published in the “Resmi Gazete”.
According to the decree, Bahtiyar Ersay, advisor to Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, has been appointed head of the 1st Army Command under the Land Forces Command.
It should be recalled that on August 5, B. Ersay was granted the rank of army general. He has been serving as an advisor to the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan since 2022.
