Concerns about drone safety issues around airports are increasing. Flights of these devices in areas close to runways can pose a danger and cause serious problems in air traffic operations.

Redaksiya reports that, in connection with the danger posed by drones around airports, appropriate measures are being taken to ensure flight safety. In particular, drone flights are prohibited within a 1.5-kilometer radius around airports. This prohibition aims to prevent drones from posing a danger to aircraft during takeoff and landing.

According to the information, some aircraft have been diverted to other airports. For example, a passenger plane departing from Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, turned back over the city of Osnabrück and landed again in Amsterdam. According to a statement from German Air Traffic Control (DFS), 5 malfunctions due to unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded at Hannover Airport alone by the end of September this year. These incidents once again bring to the forefront the security risks posed by drones around airports. At Hannover Airport, flight operations were completely halted from 22:00 to 22:45 local time due to an unknown drone. Police reported that a pilot of an aircraft approaching the airport yesterday evening detected a flying object and informed the authorities. It was noted that a plane departing from Frankfurt was diverted to Hamburg, and a cargo plane landed at Cologne Bonn Airport. These incidents demonstrate how seriously drone security issues around airports need to be addressed.
